Digital Enrollment

ZETTLER Digital Enrollment mobile application is a utility for engineers commissioning European panels on building sites.
This mobile application enables them to complete configuration of devices including addressing. It can be done by associating devices in a project with their physical location as determined by scanning a QR code on the Zettler devices. Using this mobile app user will export and import configuration files and send them to the existing PC tool, MZX Consys Version 31.1 onwards.

The MZX Technology Network communications network comprises a collection of network interface modules and peripheral equipment that together form a fault resistant, and flexible peer-to-peer network for the MZX Digital addressable fire systems controllers.
With MZX Technology Network, each MZX Fire Controller on the network permits an operator to interrogate and control any other MZX Fire Controller on the network For extended interrogation and control, MZX Technology Network allows for up to a maximum of five nodes on the network to be configured either as Master operating stations or Graphical user interfaces.
Master operating stations use the standard MZX Fire Controller hardware. In this application, the controller changes its personality; and enables additional information from each controller on the network to be displayed.

Addressable Sounder VAD Bases

The P80AVB and P81AVB are addressable sounder bases with a Visual Alarm Device (VAD) specifically for use with the ZETTLER addressable detectors. The bases are available as fire alarm sounders with Visual Alarm Device in two power outputs, standard and high. The high power option provides more coverage for the VAD compared to standard. Each has an address so they can be monitored and controlled from the fire alarm control panel, which is independent of the detector fitted to the base. The power and communications for the sounder, VAD and detector are provided by the two-wire digital loop. This helps to reduce installation costs as no additional wiring is required.

Duct Probe Units

The DPK6 duct probe units Smoke detectors are not normally mounted directly inside ducts because the airflow only allows the detector to sample air from a small section of the duct and such detectors would rapidly become dirty. Instead, ducting is protected by the use of probe units which gather air from a cross section of the duct and pass it through a smoke detector head.

For most applications, smoke or combustion products are likely to have travelled some distance ageing the smoke prior to reaching the probe unit. It is therefore normally recommended that an optical smoke detector be fitted, and this is often a requirement of Building regulations. The DPK6 duct probe units use Generation6 850PH and 830PH Multi Sensor Smoke Detectors.

DPK6 Duct Probe Units have been developed to detect smoke in ventilation ducts. They offer significant benefits in terms of performance and installation. The system comprises only one single duct probe tube which improves efficiency and reduces installation time.

The DPK6 duct smoke detector housing is designed to comply with the stringent demands new European standard prEN 54-27. The system fulfils all the requirements for safe fire detection with airflow speeds from 0,5 m/s to 20 m/s.
Features:
  • DPK6 for use with Generation6 multi-sensor detectors 850PH and 830PH with built-in 4B-C 4” Continuity Base
  • Designed to comply with prEN 54-27
  • One-pipe air sampling system
  • Patented venturi pipe and duct housing
  • Test hole on cover
  • Simple installation
  • Simple service and maintenance
DPK4 and DPK4I Duct Probe Units
The DPK4/DPK4I duct probe units have been developed to detect smoke in ventilation ducts and combine a smoke detector and an adapter system where both duct probe tube and housing are specially designed for optimum airflow through the smoke detector. The system detects smoke in incoming air, outgoing air and circulation air ducts of ventilation and conditioning systems. The duct probes are especially recommended for installations in air ducts with an air flow of 1 m/s until 20 m/s.
Particular features of the DPK4 and DPK4I
  • With Built-in MX/ZX-Detector base
    • DPK4 - with built-in MX/ZX detector base 5” – 5B
    • DPK4I - with built-in MX/ZX detector base 5” – 5BI
  • Is suitable for addressable and conventional systems
  • Suitable for air speeds 1 m/s until 20 m/s
  • Can be used in combination with e.g. 801Ph , 813P, 601P or 601PH
  • One-pipe air sampling system
  • Range of aluminium probe tube available for air ducts up to 2700 mm
  • Transparent lid allows detector to be seen
  • Test hole on cover
  • Sensitive flow indicator
  • Simple service and maintenance
  • Installer-friendly connection of cables
  • Easy installation of duct probe tubes
For an easy and fast installation of the DPK4 an MX/ZX-Detector base is already built-in. The built-in detector base reduces the assembly time. According to customer requirements you can choose from two variants; the DPK4 – Duct Probe with built-in MX/ZX detector base 5” – 5B or the DPK4I – Duct Probe with built-in MX/ZX detector base 5” with isolator – 5BI.

With the easily accessible terminals on the back side of the duct probe units a fast and uncomplicated installation is guaranteed.

Another big advantage offers the one-pipe air sampling system. Unlike the MP69 the new duct probe units use only one pipe for diverting the air though the detector and back. The need of only one pipe per tube saves time during installation and so reduces installation costs.

A red plastic bar is fixed inside the housing of the DPK4. The bar provides a simple confirmation that there is no leakage and that the air flow from the air duct is in fact passing through the housing and the detection of the air duct takes place. The bar is blown up by the passing air.

Another advantage offers the test hole on the cover. Herewith the function of the detector can easily be proofed by blowing-in the test gas.
Accessories
To adapt the duct probe perfectly to customer requirements and to offer a well-priced product we offer 3 lengths of the duct probe tubes. The tube is made of aluminium and can easily be shortened to suit the diameter of the air duct.

For mounting the DPK4 on isolated or circular air ducts please use the DPKM – Mounting bracket.
  • DPK600 - Duct Probe Tube 600 mm
  • DPK1500 - Duct Probe Tube 1500 mm
  • DPK2800 - Duct Probe Tube 2800 mm
  • DPKM - Duct Probe Mounting bracket

Detector Base Accessories

A range of detector base accessories has been designed for use with the Generation 6 detector base range to cut installation time, enhance the installed appearance and mechanically protect the installation.

Detector base accessories include:
Ceiling Tile Adaptor CTA
The CTA is used to fix detectors to suspended ceilings and allows the detector to be commissioned and tested before the ceiling is fitted. It can cut the total installation time by 30%.
CTA Adapter Plate
When beacon bases or sounder bases are fixed to the CTA, the adaptor plate is required to provide standard electrical box fixings.
Euro Mount
For surface cable and mini trunking installations, the Euro Adaptor provides a shallow back-box onto which the detector base is fitted.
Deckhead Mount
The deckhead mount provides an IP55 seal between the mount and the detector base to provide superior environmental protection.
Base 6" Adaptor
For use with U.S. style 6” electrical back boxes or can be fixed directly to a ceiling and used to conceal marks left when older, large diameter detectors are replaced.
